Vanaras is a sustainable fashion brand. The term 'Vana' stands for Forest and 'Rasa' stands for Essence which draws to the Essence of the forests. Just as much as the name is close to nature, so are the products.

Vanaras was founded on a very simple precept that one does not need to harm the planet to wear beautiful clothes.
Every Vanaras creation passes through a thoughtfully curated prism of simplicity, elegance, comfort and style. We believe good design is evocative without being complex. Even the most minimalist of designs, when meticulously crafted, can make an attire spell grace, modernity and sophistication. The beauty of minimal design is having a knack to know when to stop.

Fabrics are sourced from across India-Tamil Nadu (Five P Ventures), Ahmedabad (True Tone Ink Pvt Ltd.), Maheshwar (Khargewale) depending on the kind of textile that syncs with the collection. All the manufacturing is done locally in Bengaluru.
The fabric manufacturers or pattern makers or tailors are paid fairly.
What makes Vanaras Sustainable?
- Eco-friendly- Vanaras source only Certified Organic cotton fabric that is low in chemicals.
- Low Waste- The process of manufacturing is zero-waste as they produce little accessories out of textile leftovers at the unit and send it as complementary to our customers.
- Fair- Fair wages to tailors and pattern makers, ensuring they work under safe conditions.
- Transparent- Vanaras takes pride in being absolutely transparent.
- Gives back to society- The brand is looking forward to being able to plant a sapling for every order they receive or donate to children who are not exposed to education.
Next for Vanaras would be to continue making elegant and quality eco-friendly clothing, open our studio in Bengaluru and take social responsibility.

The brand is actively available over emails/messages, timely updates are given regarding orders and follow ups and ensures a thorough experience to every single customer.
Behind the Brand
Vandana Bhandare (founder of Vanaras) has constantly commented by her friends on how many chemicals she is exposing to with lipstick etc. That motivated her to start researching what the fuss was about and bumped into Sustainable fashion. She always knew about her passion to own a clothing label but when she came to know about how the planet's quality is depleting, she could not think otherwise. That's when she realised that her label would be sustainable. She learnt a lot in the whole research and immediately started practicing in real life. Thus the brand Vananras was born.
