Refillable is a zero waste refill service. A platform to help brands go zero waste and help consumers with a conscious option. They aim to make sustainable consumption convenient, accessible and affordable for billions of people around the world.
With each refill, we divert a packaging bottle directly from entering the landfill. For Mumbai, we plan to divert 100,000 bottles alone in 2022!

Sustainability is about being mindful of what you consume and how you consume it!
Who is Refillable for?
We’re building refillable for the brands and the consumers. We believe that this is the new way to consume things. Consumers want to change and we want to showcase the brands that the refill revolution is coming regardless. We also strongly believe that each consumer wants to make their life better, change the world but because of daily issues they can’t. We want to give them an opportunity to do something good for the planet by just consuming through us.
What measures do you take to ensure the brand's sourcing and manufacturing process stays ethical? Are there any social clusters or groups that the brand supports?
Tricky question as most of the of our products are being given by brands directly. We cannot control their supply chain directly. Though we strongly promote the organic brands instead of the chemical based ones. We’re currently working on a backend technology which makes it transparent to the end user of how the product is made, when was it made and how many times has been the packaging reused. This will help us and consumers to understand what are they actually purchasing!
What is sustainability to you?
Just a few lines on any/all the practices that makes it - Eco-friendly, Low Waste, Fair, Transparent, gives back to society. Keeping the regular jargons aside, it’s the feeling of doing something more for the planet.
It can be as little as picking up trash and putting in the dustbin or as big as leading a zero waste lifestyle. It’s the intent of making yourself better, people around you better and changing the planet for good.

"We never want to make refillable like a corporate, it aims to be the brand which makes sustainability cool and youthful." - Lokesh, the doer, the co-founder of Refillable.
It is surreal for any brand to be 100% sustainable. Any particular aspect that you are still working on to achieve better.
We’re not even 1% of what we want to be eventually. We’re working on reducing our carbon emissions in our deliveries and reverse logistics. Another aspect is going to be interesting check was how can we make our partner brands reuse the containers they send their goods to us now in. (50LTR drums)
What is a complete non-negotiator for the brand?
You need to be open to change. You need to believe that climate change is real. From our brands ethos and operations, we don’t believe in deep discounting. We want to create a model which is creating impact at scale along with positive unit economics.
It must be quite challenging to manage logistics? More and more cities need this solution. What are your expansion plans?
We’ve got more than 200 franchise inquiries in 100+ cities already! We’re taking it slow till we’re confident of making this work for everyone around us. Our focus is still on experimenting with various delivery channels and creating an ecosystem with Refill Truck, Refill Bike, Refill In-Store Machines.
“We want to enable everyone!”
